Jossue Herrera, FNP-C

Jossue Herrera (M.S.N, APRN, FNP-C) is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified by The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB). Jossue is an El Paso native and proud UTEP Miner.

He attended The University of Texas at El Paso where he received a double Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in chemistry (2008) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in (2015). Jossue completed his graduate studies at UTEP in 2022 receiving a Master of Science in Nursing. He is currently in the process of finishing his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree with a projected graduation date of May 2025.

Jossue is a caring individual whose focus is on establishing and developing relationships with patients and peers to provide patient centered care and achieve best patient outcomes. Born and raised in El Paso, TX, he understands the borderland culture as well as the social determinants of health that impact its citizens. Mr. Herrera is a firm believer in providing quality education to patients regarding their health status, illness and disease process, in order to have stakeholder buy-in for shared decision-making.

Jossue is an active member in the community participating in volunteer health fairs to provide education, screening and primary prevention to the borderland with hopes for a greater reach in order to bridge the gap to healthcare access.
